Juel Prep Girls Post Strong Finish for Their Season

The Windsor St. Clair Juel prep team had an outstanding season. They were a close knit group that played hard for one another. They fought hard every weekend and made their opponent earn the win or fought hard to defeat the other team.

At the end of league play they found themselves in the play in tournament for the final weekend of the season. They matched up against Niagara Juel Prep, whom they had defeated by 1 during the regular season, and beat them by 28 to enter the round robin portion of the tournament. Their first game was against the 3rd place finisher the Brampton warriors and they competed hard but fell short in the end. In their second game they ran into a good Durham City Chameleon’s team. The score went back and fourth but the girls couldn’t match the size they were up against.

In their final game of the tournament we matched up against a big, gritty and tough Neapean Blue Devils team. We had lost to them twice during the season but found a way to pull out a great win in a rough and aggressive game.

Overall this was a great group and players and parents. They could have won 90% of the games they lost. Every opponent we played commented on the toughness and no quite attitude that the girls played with. When teams were done playing us they knew they had been to battle.

Thanks to the parents and players for making this an excellent season.
